All prints have been through several quality steps before they are delivered to you. I use the best films available for the conditions or the color palette I am wanting to get, the film is then processed by hand to help keep all of the color, tone and contrast possible. All of the images are then digitally scanned at very high resolutions and are checked for any technical problems and are "repaired" or cleaned electronically if necessary. The resulting digital file is placed with my lab, when your print order is received, it is used to generate the print using the best in laser printers which then digitally exposes the sheet of paper. All the paper we use is Digital photographic paper which has been lab tested to last 150+ years under "Normal" inside lighting conditions. Please note that any piece of art, including photographs, will fade if left exposed to the sun. I work primarily with a horseman by the name of Craig Marple. He is one of my main subjects and due to his extreme ability with horses I am able to get such high energy imagery. We are both very aware of the risks to the horses and men during the creation of these shots and we always discuss in advance the shot, the dangers involved and how to reduce or eliminate the dangers to man and beast. We have a perfect record of not seriously harming any horses or men during the creation of these photographs. Most of the imagery has historically correct styling in the tack, wardrobe, props and weapons. I hope you enjoy your Steve Thornton Cowboy prints for a long, long time and know that, with proper care, they will outlast you, your children and your grandchildren! |
